We cover the decisions that shape the city — the budget, the council, growth and annexation, transportation, taxes, and the public projects that take years to finish. Where a story turns on a document, we read the document. Where it turns on a number, we show where the number came from.

Accuracy

Every claim is checked against documents, data, and named sources. If we cannot verify something, we say so in the story rather than implying it.

Transparency

We show our work, publish corrections, and explain our methods. A corrected story carries an update note with the date of the change.

Fairness
