Standards
How we source, verify, and correct.
Sourcing
We prefer named, on-the-record sources and primary documents — meeting minutes, budgets, contracts, filings, and public records. Anonymous sourcing is used only when the information is important, verifiable another way, and cannot be obtained on the record.
Verification
Figures are traced to their source document, and that document is cited in the story. When a number is an estimate or a projection, we label it as one.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. Corrected stories carry a dated update note explaining what changed. We do not quietly edit published stories.

Independence
Eagle Mountain Pulse is independent. Where a story touches anyone who supports the publication financially, we disclose the relationship in the story itself.
